I believe, this is why today as adults my brothers and I all attended church services some more than others and all have some type of relationship with God.
Unfortunately yet fortunately one day I was caught and charged. I remember accusing my parents of chuffing religion down our throats. This time it was for the better and leaving everything else behind.
Rick So after much needed guidance and support from family new friends and church member one changed a; values and ethics once again. Ethics in the other hand I believe are different. While I was in high school in I started fraternizing with the wrong crowd in school.
Unfortunately my values and ethics where not always set to the high standards that I hold now. I learned very early in my life about diversity, being one of six children brought up by the same set of parents and in the same environment with the same values how differently our values and ethics are.
Without fail every Wednesday we attended bible study and every Sunday we attended church service. While everyone Said that they where bad I never admitted it. It was also instilled into us, that family is very valuable and keeping the unity of family extremely important.
If they did it hey I could do it too. Honesty and loyalty were other values that my parents were very big on. There are so many people with different values and ethical standards that there may be some that are similar to yours, however, I believe that there are no two exactly alike.
As children we had no problem attending services, however as teenagers my two older brothers and I started to have a little bit of a problem with this attending church twice a week thing. I used to hag around with them and was amazed on how they all always had money and drove a nice car.
Although values and ethics start being imposed to one at an early age the previously mentioned tend to change to accommodate the situation and the circumstances that one is being presented with. If we were caught in a lie not only did we have to sit and listen to what the bible said about lying but we also had to listen to a sermon from one of our parents about how lying is wrong and will never get any good results from lying, and no matter how bad the truth was it was always better to tell the truth.
And that was followed by a punishment, the severity of the punishment depended on the severity of the lie. Personally like mentioned before there was a point in my life where my ethics and values where not the same to the ones I have now. The following is a personal example of how my ethics and values at one Point in my life almost if not hit rock bottom.
Ethics in the other hand they tend to change depending in the environment that one is exposed at the moment and maybe law of the land. My parents took great strides to make sure that there was no sibling rivalry, no jealously, no favoritism among any of us. The concepts of religion, family, unity, honesty, and education were instilled at an early age.
Sure I was treated a little different because I was a girl, but I was never put above any of my brothers we all received equally. How does my new set of values impact my work environment? I also stress to them that once maybe even twice I will tolerate that as an excuse after that I will start to think they may have a problem and address it.
I needed to change my ways. In my family, traditional values were very important to our upbringing. Ethics can vary since they are established by the expectations of friends, family, or the company one works for.
The reason for this is because ones values are usually established at a young age and are usually enforced as one grows older.Essay title: Personal Values Development Paper Personal Values Development Paper Personal values and ethical standards are almost like your DNA, individually yours.
